Nicolas (Nic) Anning is a public hospital pharmacist and PhD candidate. His roles have spanned a variety of clinical practice, governance, and research areas, and he has developed a passion for supporting patients undergoing and recovering from surgery.

He is passionate about education, healthcare quality improvement, and medication governance, which has led him to undertake research in medication management after metabolic and bariatric surgery. He appreciates that the role of pharmacists in metabolic and obesity care, along with their learning needs, is becoming increasingly integral and nuanced within an evolving healthcare system and changing healthcare priorities.

Nicolas has worked with, supported, and educated many clinicians of varying seniority, including medical, nursing, and allied health professionals, from the beginning of their careers through to specialist practice. He brings valuable perspectives on supporting clinicians and researchers in this evolving clinical field.
