Jane Collins

Jane is a registered nurse with 30 years experience, specialising in bariatric patient care since 1999. She has worked across all stages of the patient journey, including ward care, operating theatre and post anaesthetic recovery. In 2005 she joined the Adelaide Bariatric Centre where she held roles as Clinical Nurse and Clinical Research Coordinator.

Jas has presented at local and international obesity conferences, with a strong focus on patient-centred care. She remains deeply involved in day-to-day patient support, from pre and post-operative care to ongoing education and support groups, as well as providing training to aligned hospitals.

Jane was the first nurse in South Australia to complete the ASMBS (American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery) Bariatric Nurse Certification, recognising her advanced knowledge.
