Are you a clinician passionate about metabolic bariatric surgery and weight management? Want to upskill and connect with colleagues in small groups?
You're in the right place!

Our mission is to create opportunities for health professionals to enhance their skills, share knowledge, support each other and build meaningful connections. The overall goal is to raise the standard of patient care.

What We Offer

MAHN delivers inspiring educational experiences on niche topics rarely able to be explored in depth at larger conferences.

  • Person-centred programs designed from attendee feedback

  • Expert presenters providing practical, tailored updates

  • Shared learning designed for professional in metabolic bariatric surgery and obesity management.

Our Story

MAHN grew out of a recognised need for professional development in metabolic bariatric surgery and obesity management.

In 2019, Kathy Benn, then a board member of ANZMOSS, identified this gap and took action. She was the architect and led a team of respected experts to deliver initiatives including:

  • The ANZMOSS Integrated Health Roadshow in Brisbane, Sydney & Melbourne (2021)

  • The two-day ANZMOSS IH Professional Development Course in Melbourne (2023), now known as the Obesity Care Masterclass.

  • Bariatric Surgery Nutritional Education in Sydney (2023), with Shine Dietetics

Building on this strong foundation, MAHN was launched in 2024 as a commitment to holistic, multidisciplinary care.
